Early Morning & Afternoon Semi-Athletic The Best of the NE Activity Code: “RFNW” “Rainforest Nature Walk to Waterfall Adventure” The forest and its trail systems a are very user friendly with plenty of sign-age and routing info that any one can enjoy the forest on their owen! But having a knowledgeable guide to show you where mother nature and its wonders hide is worth the extra effort! Your day will start with a relaxing ride to the top of the National Rain Forest called the El Yunque. After receiving commentary and seeing the natural wonders from the bus, you will arrive at our drop point where Enchanted Island Eco Tours guides will start your adventure into the interior of the rain forest. The Nature Walk will start by meeting your two CPR, First Aid certified guides, and here the group will receive pre-walk orientation of the activity that they are about to embark on. After our orientation, the group will sign waiver releases and receive a lightweight backpack with the following inside: • One canvas backpack per guest. • One clean dry towel. • Snack package with cold bottle of water (water bottle sealed). (Backpacks, Towels must be returned at the end of the excursion). At this point we will start our walk along a natural trail as we walk into the forest and leave the world behind. The cool fresh air will take over your senses and the sights and sounds of the wind and water will relax your mind. Your guide will be giving interpretation of the natural area and its Flora & Fauna along the walk covering to the following: • Annual amounts of rain fall. • Hurricanes and their role in the forest. • Tree and plant life and their existence in the forest. • Birds, Spiders, insects and small mammals that may be seen in the forest. • Rivers, waterfalls and their aquatic life. • Elevations and temperatures. • History behind the rainforest. As the walk progresses, we will see and hear many beautiful sights and sounds, such as a crystal clear river that flows threw the rocks and trees along the walking path. Once we have reached our break point at a fabulous waterfall called La Mina falls, the group will stop and have the opportunity to relax under the majestic canopy of the rainforest as they enjoy snacks and cold water supplied in their backpacks. Here your guides will give you the opportunity to sit in on commentary about La Mina waterfall held shore side, feel the cooling mist, enjoy photo time to gather your great shots, our just relax to sounds of rushing water passing through the rocks! After our 30-minute break has ended, our group will start their return walk through a true only tropical rainforest in the U.S. Forestry system and our natural wonder better known as the El Yunque! Tour Includes the Following: • Two CPR, First Aid certified guides per 25 guests. • First Aid equipment and radio communications. • Lightweight canvas backpack (one per guest). • Clean dry towel (one per guest). • Interpretation of the Flora and Fauna as well as the history of the rainforest. 8oz. cold water bottle and pre-packaged snack. – (Assorted crackers and Cookies). One bottle and snack package per-guest supplied in backpack. Requirements to Participate: No – children under six, six through 17 with adult supervision. No- Alcohol or consumption of alcohol during said tour. This activity is not suggested for people that have had back problems or knee surgery. Semi-Athletic activity (guest, must be semi-athletic to be active in this program). Ladies six months & further along in their pregnancy term. This tour is not suggested for people with any heart conditions, open heart surgeries, heart murmurs, taking high blood pressure medication, asthmatic, diabetic or has had any recent surgeries that may make it difficult to walk at elevations at 1,860’ - 1,640’ and back to 1,860’, walk up and down moderate rises and falls or climb stair cases for up to two hours. What To Bring & What to Leave Behind: To Bring: Lightweight clothing and a change of dry cloths for the ride back to the hotel, as it is a “RAINFOREST”. If fair complected and burn easy, lightweight clothing white in color, long sleeves to help protect from the sun. Towel/Towels as needed to dry off once back from the tour. Light Weight walking shoes, hiking boots, sandals or strap-on water shoes. Hats, sunglasses as needed to protect you against the sun! Sun screen 50 SPF plus. Waterproof Cameras, cameras (Bring at your owen Risk). Leave Behind: Note that the following are only suggestions! Digital Cameras or video if not waterproof. Paper documentation important to you vacation, passports, boarding passes, birth-certificates or any others that you do not want to get wet. Large sums of money, expensive or important jewelry, any thing that fits looped, loose and dangling. Or anything that you would not want to loose, leave behind in a rental car or aboard said tour bus. Again the above are only suggestions but if you choose to bring any of the above along we will not be held responsible for any said items you choose to take over and above or suggestions. Activity Code - for this tour is (RFNW) this will allow us to know the activity you are interested in! *Your Travel Dates - and the dates you would like to book for this tour. *Hotel you are staying at - this will help us with time frames to and from the tour site along with arranging transportation for you if needed. *Will you need transportation? If so we can arrange round trip transportation picking you up at your hotel and returning you back after the tour. If your planing to rent a car we can provide you with a map and contact info to help in locating the said tour site. “Please explain your need” *Number Of Persons/children in your group - this will assist us in gaining you better rates for groups of ten plus, and send you needed info if you are planing your trip with children, note that our minimum age to participate is six years and above. *Sending you your booking confirmation - this will allow you a peace of mind that your booking is confirmed with us and allow you to print it out and provide it to our guides at the tour site, this will also include reminders about things to bring & things to leave behind along with phone numbers to contact us if you need additional info once in PR!
